GMAC recently announced they were not approving loans for anyone with a credit score below 700 (a FICO score ranges from 300 to 850.) It’s not a problem if you have good credit, but what about buyers with blemishes or even big warts on their credit?

We’re pleased to announce that under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act signed into law October 3, federal share insurance coverage increased from $100,000 to $250,000 on all types of accounts until Dec. 31, 2009. The existing $250,000 coverage level for IRA accounts remains unchanged.
